Recovery Project 11:
Encourage Connected Streets
Benefits to Community
Increases Safety: Connected streets provide multiple evacuation routes, reducing the risk of residents being trapped during emergencies.
Improves Emergency Access: Enhancing ingress and egress options ensures faster response times for police and fire personnel.
Prevents Loss of Life: Establishing policies for future developments minimizes the dangers associated with long dead-end streets during disasters.
Project Status
The Regional Long-Term Recovery Plan is now complete, and the Jackson County Community Long Term Recovery Group (JCC LTRG) has convened partners and identified project leads. These leads are now beginning the critical work of implementing recovery initiatives to support our community's rebuilding and resilience efforts.
